I want to feel, sunlight on my
face
See that dust cloud disappear without a trace
I want to take shelter from the poison rain
Where the streets have no name

Heartfelt thanks to all who participated in the Minyanville talk with Todd
Harrison and John Succo on November 7th. Have received many warm vibes.
Just my view, but events like this help define what a university is about.
A forum for learning...

Some key points I took away:
- Managing your finances is your responsibility. If you delegate that
responsibility, understand the potential consequences.
- To make good financial decisions, endeavor to 'see' both sides of a
trade--both Hoofy's and Boo's.
- Sentiment drives the risk premium people apply to assets; willingness to
take on more risk (higher risk premium) means higher prices.
- Every individual has their own unique 'risk profile' and 'time horizon'
that makes one-size-fits-all financial advice ill advised.
- Math matters!
- Most folks ask, "How much can I make?" rather than "How much
can I lose?" This is is a mistake.
- Risk = the potential for loss. Managing risk is Job One.
We are grateful to Todd and John. We are also hopeful that they will
return to spend more time with us in the near future.
