This page will serve as the home page for the MV4 project.  All news posted on this page will remain for the duration of the project.  Newest info will be posted at the top; scroll down for historical items.

12/4/06 8:00 pm.  The MV4 project is history this week.  The MGT 307 section completed their second questionnaire today, as did the MGT 305 day section.  Remember to submit your completed timesheets!

11/24/06 3:30 pm.  A little more than one week to go on MV4.  During your project time, please stop by the revamped university page on the Minyanville website.  Your comments and thoughts on content/layout are welcome.

11/20/06 6:45 pm.  If you have questions as you're reading content on the Minyanville website, please feel free to ask.  We're starting a Q&A section on the university page (see the NKU student example there?).  You could be next...

11/11/06 6:40 pm.  On a related note to the MV4 project,  I'm working on the content and layout of Minyanville's university page.  The vision is to create a web space where novices can learn about financial markets in a way that is not overwhelming or intimidating, while still being fresh and connected to daily market happenings.  If you have a chance, stop by the page, have a look, and then ping me with thoughts you might have.  For example, how might the content or layout be improved?  What kinds of modules or features would you like to see?  Would you return to this site once the MV4 project is over?  Any ideas/feedback would be appreciated.

11/3/06 6:45 pm.  About 4 weeks left in MV4.  Make sure you're completing your timesheets--and doing so in an accurate manner.  As noted previously, please don't over-report your time spent!  Doing so will render the research analysis useless.

10/17/06 5:00 pmWhat should you be doing as part of MV4?  A worthy goal is to complete one UMV lesson and read at least three UMV Buzz posts each week.

10/1/06 10:05 am.  By now, you should have used the login info below to create your Minyanville account.  By my counts, a few of you have yet to do this.  Once logged in, head to the syllabus for guidance on weekly activities.

9/20/06 12:05 pm.  For those of you involved in MV4, first order of business is to login using the password info listed below on this page and create your account.  Then check out the MV4 syllabus for guidance on what to do.

9/14/06 7:15 pm.  Let me repeat that a worthy goal for your weekly MV4 time: complete 1 UMV 100 lesson and read 3 UMV Buzz posts per week.

9/14/06 6:45 pm.  Go here to download a timesheet for tracking your MV4 time.  As noted in class, please be don't over-report your time.  It will mess up the data and analysis.

9/13/06 1:10 pm.  What should you be doing as part of the MV4 project?  This syllabus provides a guide.  A worthy weekly goal: complete 1 UMV 100 lesson and read 3 UMV Buzz posts per week.

9/13/06 12:55 pm.  We're kicking off MV4 today by administering the initial first questionnaire.  Be sure to create your Minyanville website account using the login info below.

9/11/06 12:55 pm.  I hope to kick MV4 off this week Wednesday (9/13).  First step is to fill out the initial questionnaire.  Then you'll spend an hour per week working on the 'MV4 syllabus.'  You'll track your actual time using this timesheet.  You'll hand in the timesheet during the final week of class-the same time you'll take the second questionnaire.

8/31/06 8:35 pm.  Background on the MV4 project has been posted.  It includes the requirements and incentive for participating in the extra credit project.  Please read thru.  I'll be looking for signals of commitment beginning the week of 9/4.
