I have to be careful not to preach

I can’t pretend that I can teach

And yet I’ve lived your future out

By pounding stages like a clown

Guiding Hand (Updated 02/18/2007 12:16 PM)

Gaining a solid understanding of financial markets requires considerable time--much more than you'll be able to allocate to this project.  However, it's quite possible that focused study of well-selected financial topics can build a durable foundation upon which more sophisticated knowledge could subsequently be raised.

During this project you will be asked to complete a number of guided lessons designed to help you build that durable foundation of core market knowledge.  We have 10 weeks for this project and I'm hoping to develop one lesson each week.  Each lesson should take 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.

The weekly topics are listed below.  Hyperlinks on a lesson title mean it's ready to use.  In some weeks, there will be a shorter 'bonus' lesson for those who may be interested.

Week Lesson

2 Seeing all sides of a trade            BONUS: The financial media
