MGT 305

Supply Chain Management

Be able to draw a generic supply chain.  Supply labels related to upstream and downstream, commodity-intermediate good-consumer good, and other pertinent labels.

What does each “link” in a supply chain represent?  Know examples of upstream and downstream links (for example, we shared the 'oil and gas industry' links in class).

Be able to draw an industry-specific supply chain (using an industry of your choice) from beginning to end.  (NOTE: you’ll need to do this for your project as well.)

What are key elements of supply chain management?  Answer: supply chain configuration, logistics and transportation management, inventory management, purchasing, and the value of information.  Be able to explain some important aspects of each.

*Note: you will not be responsible for the highlighted items only for the exam.
