In addition to my duties at
the university, I am a datacaster at the
Cincinnati ballpark for the Major League
Baseball
web site,
MLB.com.
I have also worked as a part-time scout for the
San Diego Padres, the Seattle Mariners, and
the Cincinnati Reds.
I have also written
several books on baseball history, covering the
following teams:
1934 St. Louis Cardinals
1935 Chicago Cubs
1967-1968 St. Louis Cardinals
1969 Chicago Cubs
1969-1975 St. Louis Cardinals
(newly-released in late 2011)
1976 Cincinnati Reds
1985 St. Louis Cardinals
Plus, I have authored a
coffee table-style book, entitled
St. Louis Cardinals: Past and Present, and
a
textbook entitled
Curriculum and the American Rural School.
While not at NKU or doing
something baseball-related, I also like
to run, lift weights, read historical biographies,
volunteer with my church (St.
Joseph
Catholic Church in
Crescent Springs, KY), and hang out with my
two best
friends - my wonderful wife, Angie and
our awesome dog, Dizzy. |
