Students interested in declaring a major in English should
obtain an official Declaration of Major form from the Office
of the Registrar (Lucas Administrative Center 302) and then make
an appointment with the chairperson of the Department of
Literature and Language (Landrum Academic Center 500).
During the meeting with the chairperson, the requirements
for the English major will be discussed, the Declaration of
Major form will be signed, and the prospective major will be
given a printed copy of the English major brochure
(identical to the web site you are now visiting). In
addition, the English major will choose or be assigned a
faculty adviser in the department.
