This topic was based on a collaborative project done by Professor Stieha's English 101 class at Northern Kentucky University.  The collaborative project was taken from family histories from the History 103 students that formed a Learning Community with the English 101 class.
Recent Socioeconomic Changes include dramatic changes which altered the way that people lived their lives.  Most of these changes can be positive, but they can also have negative aspects.  For example, new technology can improve many things, but it can also leave people feeling left behind.  The Vietnam war left many people to question the government in foreign affairs.
Family changes include women making equal or more income than their husbands.  They also include families having less children.
