Luftwaffe-- This is an essay on German Aviation during WWII. I t explores the idea that the Luftwaffe created the first jet engine through the Me 262, He 162, and the Arado 234. The next area in which they explored was the wing designs. The Luftwaffe used a swept back wing, swept forward wing, and a flying wing design. Aircraft such as the Me 262, Ju 287, and the Horten brothers flying wing. The last area that the Luftwaffe exceeded in was that of rocketry and guided weapons. They produce some some of the first guided weapon with radar, wire, and even infrared homing. With all of these factors the Luftwaffe was ahead of its time.
