A DAN ELLIS MOVIE? Updates on the website have been suspended while I try to get the book finished, but I want to mention that Frances H. Casstevens’ new book, Tales from the North and the South: Twenty-Four Remarkable People and Events of the Civil War (Jefferson, NC: McFarland, 2007) has a chapter devoted to “Captain Dan Ellis: The Slippery ‘Old Red Fox’ of East Tennessee,” pp. 28-42.
