“Being immersed in another culture exposed me to a breadth of experiences which have helped me grow as an educator. I will never forget my time abroad; it has ultimately influenced the pathway of my life.”
International Student Teaching
Education students at NKU are highly encouraged to participate in international student teaching. Most international student teaching placements are arranged through the Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching (COST), though some are also arranged directly by the NKU Student Teaching Abroad Program.
Scholarships are available to NKU students who participate in international student teaching.
Why student teach in an international setting?
- Learn about a new culture
- Learn about new ways of teaching and learning
- Learn about diversity and sensitivity
- Learn about methods to connect your future classrooms to overseas classrooms
- Learn to become a global citizen
