Welcome to Northern Kentucky University's College of Education and Human Services web site. The College and NKU have much to offer, and we appreciate your taking this time to see what may be of interest to you.

We’re very proud of our College, formed in 2001, and our teacher education programs. Our unit is approved by NCATE, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, and our programs have been approved by the state. Our graduates have had a consistently high pass rate on both the Praxis exam and the Kentucky Beginning Teacher Internship. In fact, the most recent data  indicates that 100% of the last group of graduates passed the internship.

The faculty and staff are outstanding! Faculty direct numerous grants and publish research in prestigious journals.  They are active in the community, supporting NKU's public engagement mission.  A dedicated staff continually assists students. 

We offer a broad array of undergraduate programs to prepare beginning teachers, as well as programs in health, recreation and fitness. Our graduate programs include those designed to enhance the skills of those who are already teachers, as well as programs preparing career changers to enter the field.
