TEAM INFORMATION

The NKU Norse Dance Team was established in 1994.
Its primary function is to effectively execute a school spirit program that supports the athletic teams, entertains, and promotes the school itself. The team consists of select NKU students who perform at the men's and women's basketball games, and provide performances upon request at special NKU events and community functions.

After the team is selected in April, the team will practice throughout the summer.  The team members attend the UDA College Spirit Camp during the last week in July.  When school begins in August, the team will practice at least 5-8 hours per week, supplemented with the team training program (cardiovascular work-outs, strength training, and dance technique classes.)

In January, the NKU Norse Dance Team competes at the UDA National College Championship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.
