Matthew Ford, Ph.D.
Dr. Ford is an associate professor in the Department of Management at Northern Kentucky University.
Professor Ford has been recognized for excellence in both teaching and research. He is a three-time recipient of the Sandy Easton Outstanding Teaching Award selected by NKU College of Business students. He is a two-time recipient of the Dean's Citation for Outstanding Scholarship and beneficary of best paper award honors from the Academy of Management and the Decision Sciences Institute.
Dr. Ford's research interests include quality management, web-based finciancial market learning, and management of change. He has authored or co-authored more than twenty papers publihed in peer reviewed outlets such as Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Quality Management Journal, Business Horizons, Journal of Education for Business, and Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education.
Ford holds a BS in applied science from Miami University and a Ph.D. in operations management from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Omega Rho International Honor Society. He also holds designations as a Certified Quality Engineer, Cerified Quality Auditor, and Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence with the American Society of Quality .
Prior to his academic career, Ford gained 12 years of operations and corporate management experience at Consolidated Papers, Inc. , now a division of NewPage Corporation.
He is a member of the Academy of Management, Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, Decision Sciences Institute, American Financial Association, and American Society of Quality.
