Regression Analysis Using SPSS

Regression Analysis:

1. Enter data in 2 columns, one for your dependent variable and one for your independent variable
2. Click on Analyze, highlight ‘Regression’ and click on ‘Linear’
3. Click on the column label in the left box and move to correct box on the right using the arrows
4. Click Ok

Creating a Graph and Equation for your Regression:

1. Click Graphs and highlight ‘Interactive’, then click ‘Scatterplot’ at bottom of list
2. Click and drag column labels to correct axis
3. Click the tab labeled ‘Fit’ and under Method use the drop down menu to highlight Regression
4. Click Ok
