Northern Kentucky University is looking for an individual to join us as Director of the Center for Integrative Natural Science and Mathematics (CINSAM).   The individual will also hold the Dorothy Herrmann Endowed ChairCINSAM is at the core of our efforts to enhance scholarship and education in the STEM disciplines—through both traditional and less traditional methods.  Our commitment to civic engagement, undergraduate research, and excellence in the STEM disciplines makes this an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in reaching across traditional boundaries to form partnerships across the campus and between the campus and the community.  We believe the best fit for this position will be the individual who has the following characteristics:  1.  meet tenure requirements with the title of Associate or Full Professor in one of the natural sciences, mathematics, or computer science; 2. have administrative experiences which characterize an informed and collaborative professional who can lead and inspire others;  3. have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate research and scholarship; 4. have experience with external funding;  5.  demonstrated interest in innovative efforts to enhance STEM disciplines in P-16,  through undergraduate research, grants, and through effective community engagement.
