Course Concepts & Objectives
Almost every chemistry course has prerequisites that must be met before a student can register for the course. When you attend an upper-level course it is assumed that you have mastered certain concepts and techniques that have been taught in a prerequisite course and laboratory.For example, the prerequisite for General Chemistry is high school chemistry and a math ACT score of 22 or higher or Introduction to Chemistry (CHE 102). This prerequisite course covers concepts that students need to know before taking General Chemistry.
