Dr. Russell Awarded PRF Grant to Study the Chemistry of Annulenes

Dr. Russell was awarded a PRF-B grant from the American Chemical Society for his proposal entitled, "Ion-senstive Push-Pull Pyridoannulenes." The grant for $55,000, the maximum that can be awarded, will cover research activites in the Rusell lab through the summer of 2010. In large part the money will be used to cover the costs of chemicals and student stipends. This award is one of about 5% of all PRF awards given for three years. Typically, the grants are only given for two years.
