Objectives

The objectives of this experiment are to: a) determine the cell potentials for several redox reactions, compare these values and the observed ranking with the literature values b) determine the potential of a concentration cell and compare its value to the calculated value, and c) rank the halogens in order of increasing oxidizing power based on observed chemical reactions.
