Objectives

The objective of this experiment is for you to carry out both a simple and a fractional distillation of a two-component system and analyze portions of the distillates by gas chromatography.  Another objective is for you to compare the efficiencies of the two types of distillation by evaluating the temperature - volume data and gas chromatography data.
