Aug 28, 2009 - On Saturday, August 22, more than 200 entering law students participated in a new public service project. Through this program, law students performed a morning of public service for a number of local charitable organizations.

The work included painting, cleaning, maintenance, weeding, landscaping, sorting clothing, packaging food, and moving furniture. Students worked in groups at Campbell Boys Lodge, Senior Services of Northern Kentucky, Isaiah Project, Shoulder to Shoulder, Inc., Redwood Rehabilitation Center, Behringer-Crawford Museum, Kenton County Animal Shelter and the Alexandria Fairgrounds.

The first-year students enjoyed the opportunity to serve the community while getting to know their new classmates. Following the service project, students gathered back on campus for lunch and information about numerous student organizations.
