Feb 12, 2009 - This afternoon the Transactional Law Practice Center was pleased to welcome Chase Alumni Association President Steve Schuh '78, of Schuh & Goldberg LLP. Mr. Schuh gave a special Presentation to students on the topic, "What Is Transactional Law? Part 1: Overview of a Transaction."

Students had the opportunity to hear about an actual transaction that Mr. Schuh has been working on involving a gold retailer and manufacturer and to learn what happens when the deal goes sour (not only in the U.S. but internationally as well). This transaction incorporated many different types of transactional law - bankruptcy, contract law, UCC, patent law, and international law - offering students a multi-faceted glimpse into the transactional law world. Lunch was served and students had a question and answer opportunity with Mr. Schuh following his presentation.
