Opening Statement Competition

Oct 24, 2009 - The Center for Excellence in Advocacy and the Chase Student Advocacy Society (CSAS) will be hosting the inaugural Opening Statement Competition for 1L students. This competition will enable 1Ls to gain valuable, unparalleled experience in their first year. The 17 competition participants have been given a criminal fact pattern, a breakout training session with the Trial Team members and a limitation of five to ten minutes in which to deliver their statement. Each room will contain three judges and will advance two advocates. There will be an award given for the best advocate. Please cheer on these 1L participants if you see them in the halls!
