The Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati-Cincinnati Bar Association Round Table Program has invited all Chase 1L minority students to attend its First Year Minority Law Student Reception at the Cincinnati Bar Association office on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. This reception is a great opportunity for 1Ls to meet socially with hiring partners, young lawyers and experienced lawyers from some of Cincinnati's leading law firms, corporations, and government agencies. RSVP’s must be returned to LaDonna Wallace-Smith at the Cincinnati Bar Association (phone 513- 699-1392). Students planning to attend should also notify Lisa Moore in the Career Development Office (x5354).
BLAC-CBA ROUND TABLE FIRST YEAR MINORITY CLERKSHIP PROGRAM
All Chase 1L minority students are invited to participate in the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati-Cincinnati Bar Association Round Table’s First Year Minority Clerkship Program. SUMMER 2010 JUDICIAL INTERN OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM:
The ABA Section of Litigation will begin accepting applications for its Summer 2010 Judicial Intern Opportunity Program on October 12 for second-year law students, and December 1 for first-year students. The program expects to place 200 minority or financially disadvantaged law students with state and federal judges for 6-week summer internships in Chicago, Texas, California, Washington D.C., Miami and Phoenix. Interns receive an award of $1,500. Applications are due no later than December 31, 2009. Early applicants will be interviewed and placed so the sooner students apply the better.
