Update from Ann Wednesday, October 6, 10:53am
I just talked to "Walker" at Nauvoo Family Motel (he's looking forward to meeting all of us by the way) and instead of 2 3bdrm. apts., we have 4 2bdrm. apts. Each bedroom has 1 bed that will sleep 2 if needed and a fold out couch that sleeps 2. So we can put anywhere from 2 up to 6 in each or just some of the rooms. Depending on how many show up.
The dinner reservations for Sat. eve. at Hotel Nauvoo are at 6:30. I think they are under "St. Mary's", if not Ann Schumacher or Mason.

The schedule, as best as Cynthia's brain will allow, based on memory, rumors and email messages... Please email me updates by 10pm Thursday. (Leaving EARLY Friday morning!) cain@one.net

Here's Chris' letter dated August 31, 1999:
There comes a time in everyone's life when they wake up one day and look in the mirror and all of a sudden you realize 'god am I old!'. Well, that should tell you something like maybe it's time to get together with all your old friends of many moons ago! OK, I'll cut to the chase. One day this summer, Ann Schumacher, Cynthia Thomas, Angie Guiliani and I got together and of course the talk always goes back to SMA and it dawned on us that it has been 20 years this year since we graduated and why weren't we having a reunion? Sounded like a great idea so we waited a little while to see if it would just magically happen and since it never did, here we are at the last minute writing to you to say "IT'S HAPPENING PLEASE COME!!!" And being the very organized, formal kind of classy gals that we have always been, we decided to make a change and have a really informal laid back kind of reunion. There are no formal dinners, there is no one to tell you where to stay, we know nothing except that we are:

  • having a reunion
  • it will be the weekend of Oct. 8-9-10-11 {Columbus Day} (We're coming in on Friday and leaving on Monday.)
  • the party always starts when you get there!!!!!!!
  • we have reserved 2 three bedroom apartment motel rooms at the Nauvoo Family Motel. (There is an indoor pool...) We are looking for people who want to go in on the rooms with us. There are 5 people so far. Call if you want to stay at "party central". Ann also reserved three rooms at the Motel Nauvoo so if you want these call her so you can get them switched to your name. There is some kind of BMW group from Chgo. coming in so the rooms were going fast.
  • we have warned the Hotel Nauvoo that we are coming for dinner and that there could be 5 of us or there could be 35 (we hope!) but that is the meeting place for dinner on Saturday, October 9, 1999 let's say what? around 7ish?
  • if Sr. Phyllis gets the 'ok' we will have a info/ sign in board at the priory or the cafeteria so you know where we are. If that doesn't work out then go to the Family Motel and we'll post the plans on our door.
  • we are in no position to tell you what to do with your significant other or your rugrats but we can tell you for sure without a doubt, we are not bringing husbands, boyfriends, or children. It's not that we don't absolutely love and cherish them it's just that they might cramp our style. And since there will be a major chat fest going on, is there really any male in his right mind that would subject himself to that? (Rhetorical question only -- don't tell me more than I need to know...)
  • there are very likely things that you can think of to bring this whole show together and we really would welcome any help to make it happen!
  • this is an open invitation, all classes desired, kind of reunion that is going on mostly word of mouth, so if there is someone you still keep in touch with, please tell them, so we can take the town by storm!
