| Welcome to our pictorial guide of our
adventures in Costa Rica!
Our class studied aspects of the history, political system, geography, climate, and culture of Costa Rica, in addition to its rich biodiversity. The highlight of the course was a 10 day trip during Spring Break 2005 to this beautiful Latin American country. The following web pages describe many of the things we saw and did during our field trip. Note that the individual pages were constructed by the students in the class, as one of their graded assignments. We hope you enjoy their descriptions of different aspects of this trip. This class was taught by Dr. Greg Dahlem (entomologist), Dr. Richard Durtsche (herpetologist), and Dr. Tom Rambo (animal behaviorist). We would like to thank Dr. Jerry Warner and the Department of Biological Sciences, and Dr. Mike Klembara and the Office of International Programs at NKU for all their advice and assistance. Ileana Rodriguez has been so helpful and supportive of our work in Costa Rica, we would like to send a special "muchas gracias" to her and her family at the Punta Marenco Lodge. We would also like to thank Kattia Solano and Cabet Travel for making all the local arrangements for us. They did a wonderful job and we highly recommend them to others traveling to Costa Rica!
