Students graduating with degrees in biological sciences proceed to a variety of careers. Many biology majors go on to medical, dental, veterinary or graduate schools. Others take research positions with industry or government agencies. Still others enter the teaching profession.

programs of study:

Students majoring in biology pursue a rigorous curriculum that includes required courses in chemistry, physics and mathematics. In consultation with an advisor, students choose the appropriate sequence of biology courses. The following programs and areas of emphasis are available to help students achieve individual educational goals:

Teacher Education in Biology	Pre-Physical Therapy
Pre-Veterinary Medicine	Pre-Wildlife Management
Pre-Medicine	Pre-Forestry
Pre-Dentistry	Forensic Science
Pre-Optometry	Pre-Physician Assistant

An interdiciplinary degree in Environmental Sciences is also available.
