NKU COMPETES AT GLVC CHAMPIONSHIPS |

Norse women post sixth-place finish; NKU men place eighth |

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Northern Kentucky University womens cross country team posted a sixth-place finish at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Saturday with a score of 145. Anna Moore posted a 14th-place finish for NKU with a time of 23:19 in the six-kilometer event. NKUs Elaine Koenig finished 24th with a time of 23:57, and teammate Erin Engel posted a 32nd-place finish with a time of 24:27. The University of Wisconsin-Parkside captured first-place honors with a score of 57, and the University of Southern Indiana took second-place honors with a score of 70. The NKU men finished eighth in the 10-kilometer run with a score of 187. Doug Fulmer was the Norses top finisher (31st place) with a time of 34:19. NKUs Denny Kramer finished 35th with a time of 34:33, while teammate Greaham Niemer posted a 38th-place finish with a time of 34:40. Lewis University won the mens event with a score of 42, and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville captured second place by totaling 48 points.
