NKU RUNNERS EARN ACADEMIC HONOR

Moore, Carskadon named All-Academic by CCCA

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University cross country runners Anna Moore and Tracy Carskadon have been named to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association’s All-Academic Team.

To qualify for the honor, an individual must have a grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have placed in the top 30 percent at the regional championships. Moore (3.91 GPA) placed 37th at the regional meet last year. Carskadon (3.62 GPA) finished 49th at the regional.

This marks the second time Moore has earned the academic honor.

NKU was also honored by the Cross Country Coaches Association for its team grade point average of 3.45 and named an All-Academic cross country team. It marked the fifth time since 1998 NKU has received this recognition from the Cross Country Coaches Association.

To receive this honor, a team GPA must be at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. NKU runners included Moore, Carskadon, Jessie Gehner, Kristen Rose and Lisa Sand. NKU is coached by Steve Kruse.
