Fulmer leads Norse at Chris Jones Memorial Invitational |

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University mens cross country team took second-place honors Saturday with a total of 54 points at the Chris Jones Memorial Invitational, which was hosted by Bellarmine University. Doug Fulmer was NKUs top finisher in the eight-kilometer race with a time of 28:21, which was good for fifth place. Freshman Denny Kramer completed the race in 28:49 and took fifth place for the Norse, while freshman Josh Lane posted a 10th-place finish with a time of 29:03. Bellarmine won the mens race with a total of 30 points. The NKU womens cross country team posted a third-place finish with 48 points. NKUs Elaine Koenig took second-place honors in the individual competition by completing the five-kilometer course in 19:18. Anna Moore posted a seventh-place finish with a time of 20:14, and Erin Engel took eighth-place honors with a time of 20:37. Bellarmine captured first-place honors in the womens race with a total of 41 points. Centre College was second with 47 points.
