NKU DEFEATS QUINCY, 9-0

Norse improve to 2-0 with victory

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis team won its second match of the day on Saturday with a 9-0 victory over Quincy University. NKU, which also posted a 9-0 win against Southern Illinois at Edwardsville earlier on Saturday, did not lose a set against Quincy. Junior Lauren Spears improved to 2-0 at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Sarah Hardin. NKU 9, QU 0 O’Hara defeated Marsot, 6-2, 6-4; Spears defeated Hardin, 6-1, 6-2; Brunsman defeated Bangert, 6-3, 6-0; McQueen defeated Para, 6-2, 6-0; Chapman defeated Schuering, 6-1, 6-0; Ruehl defeated Postle, 6-2, 6-0; O’Hara-Ruehl defeated Marsot-Hardin, 8-2; Spears-Brunsman defeated Bangert-Para, 8-0; Chapman-Dausch defeated Schuering-Postle, 8-3.
