NKU DEFEATS QUINCY, UM-ST. LOUIS

Norse women’s tennis team improves to 2-1

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Elizabeth Brunsman recorded a victory at No. 2 singles Saturday and teamed with Jessica Kirkpatrick for a win at No. 2 doubles as the Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis team defeated Quincy University, 6-3. Brunsman posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Sarah Hardin in No. 2 singles for NKU, the four-time defending champion of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse also posted a 7-2 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday. NKU is 2-1 overall, 1-1 in the GLVC. NKU’s Heather Gilmore defeated Leah Marsot, 6-0, 6-0, in No. 1 singles action. Lindsay England and Jessica Smith also posted wins in singles competition for NKU.
