O’HARA NOW 38-0 IN THE GLVC

Norse extend GLVC win streak to 44

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Senior Jamie O’Hara continued her dominance of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in No.1 singles competition Friday with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Liz Mendoza as the Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis team defeated Lewis University, 8-1.

O’Hara improved to 38-0 all-time against GLVC opponents as NKU won its 44th consecutive match against GLVC competition. NKU has not lost to a GLVC foe since Lewis posted a 5-4 win against the Norse during the 1997 GLVC Championships.

NKU is now 5-1 overall, 5-0 in the GLVC. The Norse will play at Saint Joseph’s College at 3 p.m. Saturday.
