NKU IMPROVES TO 4-0 WITH WIN AT BU |

OHara now 26-0 all-time against GLVC opponents |

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Junior No. 1 singles player Jamie OHara improved to 26-0 all-time against Great Lakes Valley Conference opponents Saturday as the Northern Kentucky University womens tennis team defeated Bellarmine University, 8-1. OHara, the two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year, posted a 6-3, 6-0 win over Jacqueline Louis to improve to 4-0 this season. Lauren Spears, Elizabeth Brunsman, Joceline McQueen, Amity Chapman and Claudia Ruehl also posted straight-set wins in singles for the Norse. Christina Dausch teamed with Chapman for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles. NKU has now won 30 consecutive matches against GLVC opponents, and the Norse have not lost to a conference team since the 1997 season. NKU 8, BELLARMINE 1 OHara defeated Louis, 6-3, 6-0; Spears defeated Matheny, 6-0, 6-3; Brunsman defeated Leonard, 6-3, 6-1; McQueen defeated Reinhardt, 6-1, 6-4; Chapman defeated Duvall, 6-1, 6-1; Ruehl defeated Atcher, 6-0, 6-0; Louis-Leonard defeated OHara-Ruehl, 8-5; Spears-Brunsman defeated Matheny-Reinhardt, 8-4; Chapman-Dausch defeated Duvall-Southard, 8-4.
