Norse improve to 16-2 with win over Division I Flyers |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Junior No. 1 singles player Jamie OHara improved her season record to 15-1 Monday with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Rebecca Stanchin as the Northern Kentucky University womens tennis team defeated the University of Dayton, 8-1. OHara also teamed with Claudia Ruehl at No. 1 doubles for an 8-5 victory. NKU improved to 16-2 with the win over the NCAA Division I Flyers, who dropped to 12-14 overall. NKU will play another Division I opponent - Wright State University - this Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the NKU Tennis Courts. The Norse, who captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship during the fall, are looking for their third straight NCAA Division II Tournament berth. Pairings for the NCAA Tournament will be announced in late April, with first-round matches scheduled to begin May 4. |
