NKU DEFEATS LMU, 2-0

Stevenson, Noakes score goals to lead Norse

WILDER, Ky. - Malissa Stevenson and Kristen Noakes both scored goals in the second half Sunday as the Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team defeated Lincoln Memorial University, 2-0, at Town & Country Sports Complex.

After a scoreless first half, Stevenson connected on a penalty kick for NKU with less than 18 minutes remaining in regulation to give the Norse a 1-0 lead. Noakes later added an insurance goal as NKU improved to 3-1.

NKU, ranked No. 4 nationally in the Division II preseason poll, will play host to Wheeling Jesuit University at 6 p.m. this Friday.
