NORSE POST 11-0 WIN AT IPFW ON SATURDAY
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Lori Kevill, Lisa Geiman and Tricia Ruark all scored two goals apiece Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University womens soccer team defeated Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne, 11-0.
Betsy Moore added a goal and had four assists as NKU improved to 15-2 overall, 8-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU, ranked 11th in the nation in the NCAA Division II poll, took a 6-0 halftime lead against winless (0-15) IPFW and coasted in the second half. NKU outshot IPFW 42-1 and recorded its largest margin of victory in the three-year history of the program.
Jeanna Martin, Molly Eagan, Eva Broeg and Amanda Trout also scored goals for the Norse, who will play host to Kentucky Wesleyan College at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
