Norse improve to 15-1-2 with victory |

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Molly Eagan and Bessie Black both scored goals Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University womens soccer team defeated Central Missouri State University, 2-0. Eagan gave NKU (15-1-2) a 1-0 lead midway through the first half with a goal that was assisted by both Tricia Ruark and Denise Kunz. Black scored a goal with 15 minutes left in the match off an assist from Jill Johannigman to secure the win for the Norse. Goalie Lauren Piening recorded the shutout and had four saves for NKU, which is ranked No. 12 nationally in the Division II poll and No. 2 in the NCAA II Central Region ratings. NKU will face Truman State University at noon on Sunday in the regular-season finale. The Norse have already wrapped up the No. 1 seed for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and will host the semifinals and finals of that event Nov. 4-5 at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
