KENOSHA, Wis. - Jeanna Martin, Amanda Trout and Tricia Ruark all scored goals Friday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University womens soccer team defeated the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 3-0. Lauren Piening picked up the shutout for NKU, which improved to 12-1-1 overall, 7-0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse are ranked No. 4 nationally in the Division II poll. Wisconsin-Parkside dropped to 7-4-1 overall, 3-4 in the GLVC. Martin gave NKU a 1-0 lead 21 minutes into the match with a goal assisted by Ruark. Trout and Ruark added goals in the second half as NKU coasted past the Rangers. The Norse will travel to Romeoville, Ill., on Sunday to face Lewis University (5-6-2, 1-5-1 GLVC) at 4 p.m. NKU 3, UWP 0 GOALS: NKU-Martin, Trout, Ruark. SHUTOUT: Piening (3 saves).
