NKU TO HOST GLVC TOURNAMENT

Norse play Indianapolis at noon Saturday

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team will play host to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament semifinals and finals this Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 4-5) at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky. NKU is the No. 1 seed in the GLVC and will play the University of Indianapolis in the first GLVC semifinal match at noon on Saturday. Indianapolis, the No. 5 seed, is 11-10 overall after defeating the University of Southern Indiana, 2-1, in the first round. NKU (16-1-2 overall) is the two-time defending champion of the GLVC Tournament, and the Norse enter the event ranked No. 6 nationally in the Division II poll No. 7 seed University of Wisconsin-Parkside (10-5-2) will play No. 3 seed University of Missouri-St. Louis (11-7-1) in the other semifinal match at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The GLVC championship match will be played at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
