Cincinnati natives earn All-America honors for NKU |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Tricia Ruark and Betsy Moore, a pair of Northern Kentucky University women's soccer players, have been named first team NCAA Division II All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Ruark, a junior midfielder from Seton High School in Cincinnati, led NKU in scoring with 42 total points this season. Ruark was also named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year earlier this season. Moore, a junior forward and a graduate of McAuley High School in Cincinnati, led the Norse with 15 goals this season. This is the second consecutive year that Moore has been named first team All-American. NKU junior goalie Lauren Piening earned third team All-America honors. Piening, a graduate of Anderson High School in Cincinnati, posted a 0.61 goals against average and had seven shutouts this season. NKU posted a 21-2-2 record this season and advanced to the NCAA Division II national championship match. The Norse lost in the national finals, 2-1, to UC San Diego. |
