Moore earns honor for fourth straight year |
|
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Seven Northern Kentucky University womens soccer players have been named All-Great Lakes Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. NKU senior Betsy Moore, the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year and a graduate of McAuley High School in Cincinnati, earned All-Region honors for the fourth straight year. Moore finished her career as NKUs all-time leader with 70 goals. Three other NKU players - Tricia Ruark (Seton HS), Lori Kevill (Newport Central Catholic HS), and Bessie Black (Scott HS) - were also named first team All-Region. The Norses Eva Broeg (Dixie Heights HS), Amanda Trout (Northwest HS) and Jeanna Martin (Seton HS) earned second team All-Region honors. NKU finished with a 22-2 record and captured its fourth straight GLVC championship. The Norse also advanced to the NCAA Division II Final Four for the third consecutive year.
