Black gets fourth goal of the season in 4-0 win |

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Bessie Black scored her fourth goal of the season Sunday as the Northern Kentucky University womens soccer team defeated Saginaw Valley State University, 4-0. Black, who had three goals during a 10-0 win over Northwood (Mich.) University on Friday, picked up her fourth score of the season at the 12:28 mark to give NKU a 2-0 lead. Jeanna Martin had started the Norse scoring just four minutes into the match with a goal that was assisted by both Black and Kendra Zinser. Stephanie Sandfoss and Tricia Ruark added goals in the second half as NKU improved to 2-0. The Norse, ranked No. 2 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, enjoyed a 35-4 advantage in shots attempted. NKU will travel to Findlay, Ohio, next Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. match against the University of Findlay. |
