NKU DEFEATS BELLARMINE, 3-0, ON WEDNESDAY

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Lori Kevill scored two goals Wednesday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team defeated Bellarmine College, 3-0.

Betsy Moore also added a goal as NKU improved to 14-2 overall, 7-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse are now tied with Southern Illinois at Edwardsville, Indianapolis and Southern Indiana for first place in the GLVC standings.

If those four teams remain tied after this weekend’s final regular-season matches, SIUE will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming GLVC Tournament, and the Cougars will play host to the semifinals and finals. Southern Indiana would be the No. 2 seed, NKU would be No. 3 and Indianapolis would be the fourth seed. Southern Indiana, NKU and Indianapolis would all host first-round matches if the standings remain the same.

NKU is ranked No. 11 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll.
