Keyer-Scott in first place with a 6-over-par 78 |

EDINBURGH, Ind. - Freshman Kim Keyer-Scott shot a 6-over-par 78 Sunday as the Northern Kentucky University womens golf team took a first-round lead at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships with a score of 326 at the par-72 Timbergate Golf Course. Keyer-Scotts first-day total of 78 was one stroke better than second-place Katie Farrell (79) of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and Amy Wenning (79) from the University of Indianapolis. The Norses Leslie Fossitt shot an 80 and is in fourth place in the individual standings. NKU holds a seven-stroke lead over Indianapolis (333) in the team standings. The Norse are seeking their first-ever GLVC title. The final 18 holes will be played Monday. |
