NKU FINISHES 3RD AT NATIONALS

Fossitt shoots 80 on Saturday to finish 10th

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team finished in third place at the NCAA Division II National Championships Saturday with a four-day total of 1,327 at the Meadows Golf Club.

NKU’s Leslie Fossitt, a junior and a graduate of Mason County High School, shot a 7-over-par 80 on Saturday and finished 10th nationally in the individual competition with a four-day total of 326 (+34). NKU’s Diana Camacho posted a 13th-place finish with a score of 328 (+36), while teammate Kim Keyer-Scott took 15th place with a four-round total of 329 (+37).

This marked the NKU women’s golf program’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Florida Southern College captured its third consecutive NCAA Division II national championship by finishing with a four-round total of 1,234. Barry (Fla.) University took second place with a score of 1,308.
