NKU’S HALL TIED FOR 15th AFTER 2 ROUNDS

Norse freshman golfer shoots 79 during second round of NCAA nationals

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Northern Kentucky University women’s golfer Breanne Hall shot a 7-over-par 79 Thursday in the second round of the NCAA Division II national finals and is tied for 15th place in the individual competition . Hall is now +20 for the 72-hole tournament, which is being held at the par-72 Rock Hill Country Club. Hall trails individual leader Carla Dobchuk of the University of Nebraska-Kearney (+3 for the first two rounds) by 17 strokes going into the final two rounds. Dobchuk shot an even-par 72 Thursday to take the lead in the individual competition. First-round leader Jana Peterkova of Florida Southern College shot a 6-over-par 78 and is now in third place at +8. The third round of the NCAA Division II national finals will held Friday, followed by the final round Saturday.
