WINSTEL EARNS NATIONAL HONOR
NKU head coach selected as National Coach of the Year
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University womens basketball head coach Nancy Winstel has been selected the Womens Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 2000 IKON/WBCA Division II National Coach of the Year.
Winstel becomes the 18th coach in history to receive this accolade, which has been selected by the WBCA since 1983. The WBCA Coach of the Year program has been sponsored by IKON Office Solutions since 1998.

Winstel is one of six WBCA National Coaches of the Year selected by the Association, which also names winners for each of the other four WBCA collegiate divisions (NCAA Divisions I, III, Junior College/Community College and NAIA) plus the High School division.
Winstel and the national winners from the other five divisions will be presented to the WBCA membership at the IKON/WBCA Coach of the Year Banquet on Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in the Grand Ballroom of the Philadelphia Marriott. The banquet is part of the 2000 WBCA National Convention held in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Womens Final Four in Philadelphia.
