COTTRELL NAMED ONE OF NATION’S TOP 40

NKU sophomore forward up for All-America honors

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball player Michelle Cottrell is one of 40 finalists for the WBCA/Kodak Division II All-America Team.

Cottrell, a sophomore forward who averages 17.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, was one of five players chosen from District 4. Five players from each of the nation’s eight districts make up the final 40 candidates for All-America honors.

From that list of 40 candidates, 10 players will be chosen to the Kodak Division II All-America Team.

Here are the five players chosen from District 4:

Clara Goggins, Michigan Tech

Angie Hupfer, Saint Joseph’s

Mary Randall, Grand Valley State
