NKU now 14-1 after 93-57 win over Kentucky Wesleyan |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Heather Livingstone scored a career-high 26 points Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University womens basketball team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College, 93-57, in Regents Hall. Livingstone made her first 10 shots from the field Saturday before finally missing. She finished the game 11 of 13 from the field with four assists and three steals. Kristin Polosky added 13 points as NKU improved to 14-1 overall, 8-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Bridget Flanagan and Suzie Smith both scored 12 points for the Norse, who made 60.7 percent of their shots from the field. NKU held Kentucky Wesleyan (4-11, 1-8 GLVC) to 32.8 percent shooting from the field. The Norse, ranked No. 5 nationally in the Division II poll, also extended their home winning streak to 21 consecutive games. NKU has not lost in Regents Hall since Jan. 8, 2000, when Bellarmine posted a 76-72 victory over NKU. NKU is now 53-4 in its last 57 games against GLVC opponents. |
