HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Amy Mobley scored a career-high 22 points and had five assists Thursday night as the Northern Kentucky University womens basketball team defeated the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 82-67, in Regents Hall. Mobley also added four rebounds and two steals as the Norse improved to 11-2 overall, 8-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU is ranked No. 3 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll. Michelle Cottrell finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds for NKU, which is now 15-0 all-time against Wisconsin-Parkside. It was the 44th career double-double for Cottrell. Kristin Polosky (12 points) and Dana Schubeler (10 points) also scored in double figures for the Norse. The victory was the 398th for NKU head coach Nancy Winstel, who is looking to become the first basketball coach in Norse history to reach the 400-win plateau. NKU will meet Saint Josephs College at 1 p.m. Saturday in Regents Hall. Going into that game, the Norse own 14 consecutive victories over Saint Josephs during the past eight years. NKU has not lost to Saint Josephs since the 1993-94 season, when the Pumas posted a 72-67 victory against the Norse at Rensselaer, Ind.
